Material Inspection
We assign inspection team to the supplier factory, to strictly supervise raw materials and accessories from mold making to production and delivery. QC in factory will check the incoming materials once more when they arrive. Following Quality Inspection Criteria, for aluminum materials, there are standards of dimension, chromatic aberration, coating thickness, adhesion, rigidity and fluorocarbon coating. For ordinary glass, there are standards of dimension, chromatic aberration, flatness, and stress on tempered glass. For coated glass and insulated glass, we inspect the low-e films and dew point and air cavity depth respectively. For iron, stainless steel, fastener, sealant, insulating and fire-rated rock wool, we take sampling test based on international standards. Only qualified materials can be transferred to our storage.
Cutting
Cutting refers to preliminarily cut materials such as transom, mullion and brackets which are to be assembled to units. After full inspection of external appearance of aluminum materials, they will be covered by Nitto electrostatic protective film whose durability is more than 1 year. Then, we clean the materials before cutting. Advanced double headed automatic sawing machine can control the tolerance below 1mm for materials less than 3.5mm in length. Each batch of materials shall be ensured their first quality inspection according to drawings before being transferred to the next process.
Fabrication
On the basis of techniques, fabrication process includes cutting, milling, tapping, punching, and wire-electrode cutting, and etc. Factory is equipped with 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC, which are operated by professional NC programmer and fabricating technicians, who are responsible for the precision and safety of production. These machines enable us to smoothly fabricate complicated 3D spaces. Before fabricating, working tables and tools shall be cleaned based on stipulations and avoid damages. Operators shall do self-inspection and QC shall take first article and routing inspection. Materials will be displayed in numerical after inspection by QC.
Assembly
Assembly is an important procedure to ensure the water tightness of curtain walls, therefore, we rigorously inject sealant at the joints according to drawings to ensure the them to be free of cracks. If there are problems emerged during assembling, we promptly resolve them and issue a report to avoid same problems. The larger the area of units is, the more difficult it will be to assemble to unitized curtain wall. At present, we can easily deal with the assembling of units which are 3m X 6m and weight 1 ton. In order to guarantee the quality and appearance to meet with high standards, excess glue and screw heads shall be done detailed processing such as cleaning and sealing.
Sealant Application
The sealant which is used to fix glass called structural sealant. This procedure shall be conducted at a glazing room with fixed temperature. We first strictly do snap test, butterfly test and clean the aluminum frame with specialized primer. Glues which are used to seal gap between glass and aluminum frames called gasket cement or waterproof adhesive. We stipulate that the place where is sealed by sealant shall be flat, glossy, smooth and free of wave strap and bubbles. Structural sealant and water sealant adopted from the international brand, Dow Corning. In addition to inspection of adhesive test of structural sealant, we also invite third-party professional, Asia Pacific Public Surveyor, to do random test of sealant.
Packaging and Shipment
Before delivering completed products to the site, unites shall be completely inspected, including dimension, number, quantity, and water-tightness and etc., which is the last but the most important inspection procedure. The completed production protection is also a key process. When the units have been completely cleaned and are free of dust, aluminum scrap, excess sealant and other sundries will be protected through packaging. At the same time, the interacting spot between aluminum materials and stillages shall be also carefully protected.
